Category Framing
If you submit directly for your target category, you'll almost always get video verification or suspension
Categories with "contractor", "cleaning", "installation", "construction" in the name trigger Google's spam filters
Even if a category looks safe, there's trial and error involved — some still trigger verification

Identify a safe starting category
Pick a category that won't trigger spam filters or video verification
- Look for low-scrutiny options: Repair Service, Building Consultant, etc.
- Avoid anything with "contractor" in the name
- Avoid anything with "cleaning" in the name
- Avoid "installation", "construction", and supply store categories
- All home service/trade categories are heavily monitored — you need an indirect start

Analyze categories - avoid contractor, cleaning, installation

These WON'T work as starting categories

Choose: Repair Service or Building Consultant
Plan your ladder path
Map out how you'll step from easy to target
- Step 1 (Easy): Your safe starting category (e.g., Repair Service)
- Step 2 (Medium): An intermediate category (e.g., Contractor)
- Step 3 (Target): Your actual target category (e.g., Roofing Contractor)
- The path depends on your category — reach out for guidance if unsure

DON'T submit directly - it will revert to video verification
Plepper costs about $10/month and does a lot more than just this — worth it
If you're unsure about which starting category to use, ask — specific category guidance is available
Supply store categories (e.g., Roofing Supply Store) don't work either — they're treated the same as contractor categories
